About Our Staff...
The care of all of our resident animals receive the best and highest
quality of care that we can provide for them. This care is provided
by a first class group of volunteers that provide for all the needs of
the animals. We have a small group of very dedicated people who generously
give their time and available resources to be sure that these animals have a
comfortable, healthy and secure home. Everyone gives what they can,
working around careers, family and social obligations. Many also provide
additional support
through fundraising activities, or direct support when
something is needed and they are in a position where they can help out.
Our "core" staff are here practically everyday. These are the people that
handle all the day to day husbandry duties and operational needs of the facility
day in and day out. 
Our "regular" staff are volunteers who are here from several days a week to once a month or so, and although they are here less than our core staff, they are a consistent and reliable part of our team. Regular volunteers participate in routine daily chores, feeding and whatever else is in progress on the days they are here. We also host interns from several universities and from several disciplines who participate in our program as a part of their educational experience.
In addition to our normal volunteers, there are many others who
contribute to our work on an occasional basis. many college groups, church
groups, social organizations and clubs schedule work days at our
facility. In
addition, many families spend a week, or long weekends when possible helping out
where they can. Additionally, many individuals spend a weekend on occasion
pitching in however they can.
We appreciate all of the effort and contributions of all of our volunteers,
interns and other supporters.
Enclosed on this page are photos of some of our volunteers just "doing what we do". When collecting these photos it became apparent that often times we are working on various projects, and forget to take pictures of the work we are doing, and of those doing it. We will work on updating these photos as we can. We do appreciate everyone's help and contributions, and will add more photos as we collect them.
