"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world.... Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Meade
The Great Cats of the world....They are powerful, they are awe inspiring and they are impressive. Their images and characteristics have long been associated with success, admiration, supremacy and power. From LSU's ever majestic "Mike The Tiger", to your morning cereal, to the investment firm that manages your money, the image and persona of these animals is used over and over in an attempt to influence our day to day activities.
Great Cats of Indiana is a nonprofit, 501-c-3 Sanctuary and Rescue facility
for big cats and other carnivores. We provide a lifelong, caring home to these
wonderful animals when, for various reasons, they need a home to live out their lives. While each animal has its own
unique, often tragic story, the one thing they all have in common is that they
were facing
an uncertain future and possible death before we became a part of their lives.
Please take a few moments to look through our site to get a glimpse of what we do, and why we do it. Check out our visitor information page to see how to visit us and what to expect when you get here. Background about our facility can be found on our "who we are" page. Before you leave, be sure to check out our "how you can help" page to learn about how you can help us make a difference in the lives of some really special cats, and a few of their friends. We love the work we do, and we feel these animals deserve the best care available. Our facility is always a "work in progress" as we continually strive to improve our facility, improve our enclosures and learn new techniques to provide the best care possible to our resident animals.
